Driving from Anchorage to Girdwood




Girdwood / Dog Sledding


We flew up to the glacier by helicopter for our dog mushing experience. Our guide said most of the dogs have run in the Iditiron. The dog mushing trips are just off season work.







Girdwood: Fire Department & Community Park

Chief William Chadwick gave us the grand tour of the Girdwood Fire Department while the kids played on the nearby playground.

Denali: K2 Aviation Tour

Our original plan was the air tour around Mt. McKinley. However, the weather didn't co-operate and we ended up taking a sightseeing tour of glaciers.
